How can we help?
Natural Wholesale serves personal-use customers, DIY makers, formulators, estheticians, spas, small brands and larger wholesale customers. Below are answers to some of the questions we hear most often.
Ordering & Shipping
How long do orders take to process?
Processing time for orders containing items in volumes of 1 gallon or less is generally 2–8 business days. Orders containing 5-gallon items generally ship in 7–15 business days. Orders containing items in volumes of 25 gallons or more generally ship in 10–35 business days.
Standard transit time after shipment is typically 3–6 days.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Natural Wholesale offers free shipping on orders of $125 or more, including qualifying large orders that require freight shipping.
How are large bulk orders shipped?
Larger orders may ship in multiple packages or by freight depending on the size and weight of the order. Our free-shipping offer also applies to qualifying large freight orders.
How do I track my order?
When your order ships, we will email you tracking information. Larger orders may have multiple tracking numbers or shipments.
If you need assistance, you may contact us , email hello@naturalwholesale.com , or call us at (775) 544-9120.
Do I need to own a business to place an order?
No. We sell to both businesses and personal-use customers. You do not need to own a skincare company or have a wholesale account to purchase from us.
Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing?
Yes. Many products are available in progressively larger bulk sizes, allowing businesses and higher-volume customers to purchase at lower per-unit costs.
If you need a quantity larger than what is shown on the website, please contact us.
Can I order different products together?
Yes. You can combine skincare bases, essential oils, carrier oils and other products in the same order. Processing time may be determined by the items in your order that require the longest preparation time.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to request a change or cancellation. Because orders may enter processing soon after they are received, we cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations can be made after an order has been placed.
Products & Samples
Do you offer samples?
We do not provide free samples, but many of our products are available in small sample sizes. A 2 oz size is a convenient way to evaluate many products before purchasing a larger quantity.
Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. Our products contain no animal by-products and are cruelty-free and never tested on animals.
Are your skincare bases scented or unscented?
Many of our bases are available unscented, giving you the flexibility to use them as supplied or add your own compatible fragrance or essential-oil blend.
Some bases are also available in pre-scented versions, including fragrances such as Lavender, Rosemary Mint and Bergamot Citrus. Available scent options vary by product.
What is the shelf life of your skincare bases?
Our bases are preserved for a two-year shelf life as supplied.
Proper storage is important for maintaining product quality. If you modify a base by adding additional ingredients, the original shelf life and preservation should not automatically be assumed to remain unchanged.
How should I store the products?
Keep products tightly closed and store them away from excessive heat, direct sunlight and unnecessary temperature extremes.
Can heat or cold during shipping affect a product?
Temperature changes during transit can temporarily affect the viscosity or appearance of some products. Allow the product to return to normal room temperature before evaluating it.
If you believe a shipment has been damaged, please contact us.
Ready-to-use bases built for flexibility
Our skincare and personal-care bases are finished formulas that can be used as supplied or customized for your own routine, business or brand.
Start with a small size to evaluate a product, then move into larger bulk quantities as your needs grow.
Skincare Bases & Customization
What are skincare bases?
Skincare bases are pre-made formulations that can be used as finished products or as a starting point for creating customized skincare and personal-care products.
Are your bases ready to use?
Yes. Our bases are finished formulations and do not require additional ingredients before use.
You can use them exactly as supplied or customize them if desired.
Can the bases be used on their own?
Yes. Our bases are designed to function as complete products on their own.
Can I put my own label on your bases and sell them?
Yes. Many of our customers purchase our ready-to-use products in bulk, package them in their own containers and sell them under their own brand.
Customers are responsible for their own finished-product packaging, labeling, claims and regulatory compliance.
Do you offer private labeling?
Natural Wholesale supplies ready-to-use and ready-to-label products in bulk, but we do not provide a full turnkey private-label service.
You purchase the product from us and handle your own containers, labels, branding and finished-product presentation.
What types of bases do you sell?
Our selection includes products such as facial serums, moisturizers, creams, body lotions, body butters, cleansers, body washes, scrubs, oils and other skincare and personal-care bases.
Can I add fragrance or essential oils to a base?
Many of our bases can be customized with fragrance or essential oils. The appropriate amount depends on the specific base, the material being added and the intended use.
We recommend testing additions in a small amount of product before modifying a larger batch.
Can I add carrier oils, extracts or active ingredients?
Many bases can be customized, but every addition changes the original formulation. Additional oils, extracts, actives or other materials can affect viscosity, appearance, pH, stability and preservation.
Always test additions in a small batch before modifying a larger quantity.
Will customizing a base affect its two-year shelf life?
Our bases are preserved for a two-year shelf life in their original formulation.
Once you add additional ingredients, you have created a modified formulation. The original shelf life, preservation and stability should not automatically be assumed to remain the same.
Can I add water to thin a base?
We generally do not recommend simply adding water to a finished base. Water can change viscosity, performance and preservation and may require the finished formula to be reevaluated.
Can I mix two different bases together?
It may be possible in some cases, but combining two finished formulations creates a new formulation. Texture, appearance, stability and preservation may change.
We recommend testing a small amount first.
Should I test a customized product before selling it?
Yes. If you modify one of our finished bases, testing the resulting product is a good practice before commercial production.
Depending on your changes, this may include evaluating appearance, odor, viscosity, pH, stability, packaging compatibility and preservation.
What are the benefits of using a ready-made base?
A ready-made base can eliminate much of the time, equipment and production work involved in manufacturing a cosmetic formula from scratch.
For brands and makers, that can mean spending less time manufacturing and more time on packaging, branding, marketing and growing the business.
Essential Oils & Carrier Oils
What is the difference between an essential oil and a carrier oil?
Essential oils are concentrated aromatic plant materials. Carrier oils are fixed oils such as jojoba, sweet almond, argan, avocado and MCT coconut oil.
Carrier oils may be used on their own or as part of formulations and are commonly used to dilute essential oils for topical applications.
Are your essential oils already diluted?
Unless the individual product is specifically described as diluted or blended, our essential oils are sold as concentrated essential oils.
Can carrier oils be used directly on the skin or hair?
Many carrier oils can be used directly on the skin or hair or incorporated into skincare, body-care and hair-care products.
